HP LaserJet M110w Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After installing the first laser ink cartridge sent on my subscription plan (not the cartridge that came with the printer), I rebooted my printer, rebooted the HP Smart app, even removed the cartridge and unplugged it for 15 seconds, and put the cartridge back in and turned back on; under "Printer Status," I get a warning "Toner Very Low," which it should not say when a new cartridge was just installed.

The main Home screen of the HP app indicates full cartridge, as does the Supplies Summary, which indicates "Black Cartridge 100%"!

I won't even bother calling the so-called premium support I have a free trial for cuz they usually do NOT know their you-know-what from a hole in the ground. They spent over two hours recently trying to troubleshoot why the printer keeps beeping during print jobs, which is very annoying!

Welcome to the HP User Community.

Errors involving issues with - or related to - your Instant Ink Subscription are generally best handled by those who have actual access and information about your subscription and account.

If you do not want to ask for help from Instant Ink Support,

If you need help from an agent who can access your information,

Choose to wait here in the Community for one of our Community agents to find and respond to your question.

Waiting is not faster - the Community is not Instant Ink Support - Waiting generally works.

Gentle Reminder - "Holes"

Try to remain polite - sniping at or about those who would help is sometimes counter productive.

I can offer limited advice ... might be useful or might not...

The User Guide explains "Very Low" toner settings but only from the perspective that the toner cartridge is actually in a "very low" state.

Simple Restart / Recycle Printer Power

Reference HP printer does not turn on

Step >> Recycle power to the printer

Unplug the printer and then reconnect the printer to reset the power module.

  1. Disconnect the power cord from the printer.

  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet, power strip, or surge protector.

  3. After the printer has been disconnected for at least 60 seconds, reconnect the power cord to the printer.

  4. Plug the power cord directly into the wall outlet.

  5. Depending on your printer model, use the appropriate steps to start a Power On/Off cycle:

    • Printers with a Power button: Press and release the Power button. Do not hold the button down.

      Note:

If you press and hold the Power button too long, the printer might turn on and then off without restarting. If this happens, press and quickly release the Power button again.

    • Printers with a Power switch: Press the Power switch to the Off position, and then press it to the On position.
