As I stated, most likely a defective cartridge. There may be something stuck to the magenta drum unit, but if damaged replacement is really your only course of action. Replace the cartridge and 95% chance your problem will go away.

More likely a defective than empty cartridge. Can you post a picture of the defective page?

Cartdridges are definitely not empty. Here is a picture of a recently printed page with the red stripe.
