I use print screen to capture what was on my screen.  I pasted it into a Word document and resized it slightly.  When I view print preview it looks perfect but when I print the jpg doesn't print right.  The outside size is correct but the contents are not reduced.  It will print in Publisher but not Word.  Help please

In general, Word does not always respond well to items that are "pasted" into the document.

The result "looks OK" but frequently the area (image) will print too large or out-of-bounds and perhaps even "chopped".

Common Solution:

Use Insert

"Fix the image" as it appears in your Word Document

If you do not already have a copy of the image file, create a file from the image in your Word document.

Open your Word document

Right-Click on the Image

Use "Save-As" and save the image as a .jpg file on your computer.

Pay attention to the folder in which you save the file...

Use Insert > Pictures and insert the image file into your Word document.

Right-Click on the image (after it is placed in the document)

Adjust the Size and Position to move the image inside the document boundaries.
