HP Officejet Pro 8025
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently installed a new 8025 to replace my old 8600.  It is connected by wire to my network router because my primary computer does not have wireless capabilities.  My Wi-Fi access point is independent of my router and is cable connected as well.  I used this configuration for several years without problems.  We have three laptops, two iPhones, and two iPads that were all able to print to the old printer without problems.  Now, with the new printer, they appear to be aware of the printer's IP address on the network, but either don't see the printer or see is as being offline.  I struggle now with every device trying to reach the printer via Wi-Fi.  What needs to be changed to make all this work once again?

Hi,

What is your router brand and model?

Make sure your router is not configured for Wireless Isolation which may cause such behavior, as well, make sure your WiFi devices are connected to the standard wireless network and not to a guest wireless network of your router by any chance.

I suggest consulting your router service provider for better help with its configuration.

My Wi-Fi router is configured as an access point.  It is a Netgear Nighthawk AC300 with MU-MIMO.  My network router is an Arris cable modem/router.  The Wi-Fi radios are turned off on that router to avoid conflicts with the Netgear access point.  There is a wired connection between them.  None of this changed with the introduction of the new printer.  Thanks.

To clarify, the printer is connected with a cable to the Arris router while the Wi-Fi connected devices are connected to the AC300?

Please correct me if I may misunderstand your intention.

Was the 8600 printers connected using the same setup with an ethernet cable to the same router?

What is your printer's IP address?

Swipe down the top panel of the printer screen and tap the Ethernet icon, then locate its IP address.

What is the IP address of your computer?

Right-click the Start menu and select Run, type CMD and press OK.

Type IPCONFIG and press enter, you may need to scroll up a bit to locate the IPv4 address of the computer.

Are both the printer and computers share the same Subnet Mask and Default Gateway address?

Yes. Printer is connected to the Arris router.

Yes.  Wi-Fi connected devices are connected to the AC300.

And, the AC300 is also connected to the Arris router.

Yes. Network connections and configurations are as they were with the previous printer.  No changes have been made.

All components have been rebooted several times after the new printer was installed.

Printer: 192.168.0.130 (static)  confirmed on printer control panel

Computer:  192.168.0.9

Share the same gateway.

Prior to setting a manual IP Address, was the same subnet and gateway listed using DHCP?

It may worth restoring the network settings and check what IP is originally assigned by the router, to deny any possible network cause, and such behavior likely relies on the network setup itself.

What happens when you try entering this IP from your WiFi PC browser? can you access the printer's EWS page?
