HP OfficeJet 5255 All-in-One Printer

The printer is connected to wifi. I can print. The instaInk is not connecting. The web access test results say test server fail. I have done all of the following:

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to the same network as the test server.
  • Verify that the Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection is stable.
  • Restart your router to ensure a fresh connection.

Printer Restart:

  • Turn off your printer, wait for about 10-15 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Allow the printer to complete its startup process.

Network Configuration:

  • Confirm that your printer is using the correct network settings (SSID, password, etc.).
  • Access the printer's control panel or web interface to check and update the network configuration if necessary.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP support website.
  • If updates are available, follow the instructions provided by HP to update the printer's firmware.

Firewall/Antivirus Settings:

  • Ensure that your firewall or antivirus software is not blocking the printer's access to the test server.
  • Temporarily disable the firewall or antivirus and run the web access test again.

Proxy Settings:

  • If you are using a proxy server, ensure that the proxy settings on the printer are configured correctly.

Printer IP Address:

  • Check the printer's IP address to confirm it is on the same subnet as the test server.
  • Reconfigure the IP settings if needed.

Reset Network Settings:

  • Some printers have an option to reset network settings. Refer to the printer's manual to find the instructions on how to perform a network reset.

I have factory reset, restarted, and unplugged & waited many times. Nothing is helping. This didn't happen a couple of weeks ago! How do I reconnect to InstaInk?! Thank you.
