I've just brought a HP ENVY 5644 All-in-One Inkjet Printer from pcworld. I have a WinXP main computer using the USB cable and a Windows 7 laptop using WiFi which I use for everything. I installed the software of the CD. I checked the Network connection on my laptop and it shows HP ENVY 5640 series on Ultimata-warlord and that prints a test page.
I installed the software on my laptop just to see if there were any extra features. When I tried to setup the WiFi connection I typed in my router name a clicked search and it couldn't find anything. I typed in my IP address and it still couldn't find anything. It never asked for my router password. That's the same on my laptop can't find router.
Both computers print so at least that's something. I've search online for this problem and this site shows a similar problem so I've joined.
Another slightly annoying thing is if you don't use it for a few minutes it switches off. I don't know if its only the touch screen which switches off, you tap it and it shows. If I print something of my laptop it shows no connection I have to tap the screen then it prints. I've seen nothing it settings not to switch off.
