Just change routers and unable to print. I have a wireless connection (blue light solid on) but my printer utility states I have USB connection. Reset printer sytem, tried to add printer but it doesn't show up on the selection box. Also tried pushing WPS pin button and router and still get error message. Not sure what the problem is. Help!

A very warm welcome to the HP community. A very good day to you.
I understand that you have an HP Photosmart C4795 All-in-One Printer. I read that after changing the router, the printer does not connect wirelessly to the wifi. The printer utility indicates that it is a USB connection. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you.
I would like to know the following information to assist you better:
- HP printer's work on 2.4GHz networks. Is your new router transmitting the signals at 2.4GHz? HP recommends you use a wireless router or access point (802.11) to connect the product and the other network elements
- Are other devices able to connect to the wireless network?
I did some research on this case and suggest you to perform the following steps to get the printer connected wirelessly.
- Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
- Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
- Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
- The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.
Please refer to this HP document for steps to have the printer connected wirelessly.
I hope this information helps. Please feel free to let me know how it goes. Cheers! 🙂

Thank you for your reply. Unfortuately, your suggestions didn't work. Here's a brief description of what's happening.
1. Running a mini Mac OS Sierra system
2. I have a HP C4795 that worked with previous Netgear N900 router
3. Router had technical problems and brought a new Netgear N900
4. Getting wireless signal to Printer (light solid blue)
5 Printer Utility not recognizing the printer. No wireless connection
6. Download orginial CD software.
7. Ran Apple update for printer. New driver version installed.
8. Can't run HP assistant setup
9.Printer Utility Windown states 'printer is not connected" and......
Device information: Photosmar C4700 series
Connection: USB
Service ID: Unknown
FW Version: Unknown
Serial Number: Unknown
Driver Version: Hp Inkjet 1 Driver 3.3.2
Product Number: Unknown
10. My other HP printer in separate area of house is up and working with router.
Please advice if there's a reason why the printer is not picking up the router. I also tried pushing the PIN BUTTON and it's not connecting.
Thanks
Aldini

Thanks for the reply.
I appreciate your time and effort.
I understand the issue better.
Follow the below steps to connected the printer to the wireless network.
- Reset the network settings by clicking the top Scan button, then the top Wireless Menu button.
- Select Restore Network Defaults, the wireless light should blink.
- If the light is turned off, click the Scan button once again and then the Wireless Menu, then select Enable Wireless.
- From your Mac click the WiFi icon and then click Join Other Network.
- Click Show Networks, select the printer SSID, it will be listed as HPSETUP, then click Join.
- Allow 2-3 minutes to establish the connection.
- Open Safari and click On Safari > Preferences. open the Advanced tab, check both of the "Include Bonjour" options and confirm.
- Click Bonjour from the top bar of Safari, then click the printer name, the EWS page will appear.
Enter the Networking tab. - Under Wireless (802.11) click Start Wizard and follow the steps listed on the screen to configure the wireless connection.
- Once the Wireless Setup Wizard via the EWS completes, click the Wi-Fi icon of your Mac and reconnect to your router again, now both of the devices should be connected to your router.
- Finally go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners and click the plus sign to add the printer.
Let me know if that helps.
Cheers.

You're welcome and I appreciate you taking your valuable time to troubleshoot.
There should be a magnifying glass icon (search) which you can touch to search the available networks. If the magnifying option is not present then suggest you to perform the following steps from this link.
- Please look under "Frequently asked questions (FAQs)" >> "What if my printer is not connected, found, or listed during the installation?"
Hope this helps. Good luck! 🙂
