HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a 9120e.  When it said WIFI signal was strong and connected, it wouldn't print.  On my computer, it said that it wanted a pin number from my router.  There is NO pin number on my router.  In desperation I tried to start all over and now it won't find wifi at all.

I HATE HEWLETT PACKARD WITH A WHITE HOT INTENSITY THAT i CAN BARELY DESCRIBE!!!!!

Now it won't even print.  In the past I struggled with a SIMPLE TASK, SCAN TO COMPUTER!

Why don't you have any help?

Hi @puppie96,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear your frustration, and you're absolutely right to expect a simple, seamless experience when setting up and using your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e. Let's get this sorted out step by step so you can get back to printing without the stress.

Step-by-Step Fix

1. Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode on the Printer

This will allow the printer to forget old networks and search for new ones:

  • On the printer control panel, go to:
    • Settings > Network Setup > Restore Network Settings
  • Or press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds until the wireless light blinks.

This puts the printer into Wi-Fi setup mode.

2. Use HP Smart App to Reconnect

⚠️ If your PC asks for a WPS PIN, ignore it and choose “Connect using a password instead”.

3. If HP Smart Can’t Find the Printer

  • Connect your PC to the printer’s Wi-Fi Direct signal:
    • Look for a network like HP-Setup-9120e-XXXX
    • Use the Wi-Fi Direct password printed on the label inside the printer or on a setup page
  • Then retry the setup in HP Smart

Why This Happens

  • Starlink routers don’t always support WPS PIN pairing, which is why your PC asked for one and couldn’t find it.
  • Resetting the printer without using the HP Smart app can leave it in a state where it doesn’t reconnect automatically.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
