I have fought this printer since I bought it and I am not technologically challenged.
HP support fixed it when I called in last summer, but now my product is out of warranty and Im SOL.
And frankly, I dont know what they did to fix it and I'm not entirely sure the fellow who fixed it did either.
Everything I print documents, if there is an image of any kind in the document, it will not print the page and the whole job errors. It will print up to the page, but not that page at all. Not even a blank page, just nothing. It will print clip art pages, or text pages mixed with clip art pages, but any page that has any image on it whatsoever, it wont print.
I am trying to print my kids curriculum, and some of the pages have photos of art, wildlife, etc. Those are the pages it wont print.
I am 10 feet from my router, being plugged into the internet directly with wifi turned off doesn't seem to matter.
I am not printing photo paper, these are document pages (8.5x11) with images within the page itself.
I use a mac, this printer has never known a PC. After the HP support chap on the phone fixed it last summer, it worked until we moved. But the router name is the same. I have reset factory settings from within the IP address webpage for the printer under system. I deleted the printer entirely from the settings of my computer, readded the wifi to the printer, then added printer to computer, and still... it will print any page that does not have an image within the document, but not the documents with images.
very frustrating.

Hi @lpowell3rd,
I'd like to help!
To better assist you -
1) Does the copy print out the same way?
2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device?
3) What is the size and type of paper you are using?
Keep me posted.

1. I don’t understand this question. It either prints when an image is not in the page or does not print and the entire job stops at the page with images on it. (Image=photo style or artwork not clip art. Clip art prints regardless) but if any page has artwork/photo/picture on not the entire page won’t print— not even a Blank page in it’s place.
2. tried laptop, iPad, phone. All to the same effect. It’s in preview which is mac version of file viewer.
3. 8.5x11 paper-usual copy paper. This is not a “photo” paper issue or photo printing issue As much as a failure to print any document with an image or photo within it.

Add the AirPrint printer to the Mac printer queue
Confirm you are using AirPrint by adding the printer in System Preferences.
-
Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
Figure : Example of the Printers & Scanners window
-
Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, and then do one of the following steps.
-
If your printer is listed, remove and re-add the printer to confirm it is set up for AirPrint. Click the printer name, click the minus sign
to delete the printer, click the plus sign
, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name and then continue to the next step.
-
If your printer is not listed, click the plus sign, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the name of your printer, and then continue to the next step.
-
If your printer is not listed in the Add Printer or Scanner window, go to the Frequently asked questions in this document to resolve connection issues, try to add the printer again, and then continue to the next step.
-
-
Confirm AirPrint or Secure AirPrint displays in the Use or Print Using menu, and then click Add.
Figure : AirPrint displays in the Use menu
-
Open a document or photo, click File, and then click Print.
Let me know how this goes!

Yea I did this all just before I posted and confirmed secure and AirPrint just as you specified. Error still occurs in the same manner. All pages without images will print, up to the pages with images then those don’t print and job fails
