Hi @DaveDec1957 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP ENVY 6000 All-in-One Printer is not printing standard business envelopes, follow these steps to troubleshoot:
1. Check Envelope Compatibility:
Ensure that the envelope you are using meets the printer’s specifications:
- Supported envelope size: #10 (4.125 x 9.5 in).
- Envelopes should be flat, undamaged, and not have any adhesive clasps or windows.
2. Load the Envelope Correctly:
- Place the envelope in the input tray, flap side up and to the left.
- Slide the paper guides snugly against the edges of the envelope, but do not bend it.
3. Set the Correct Paper Size in the Printer Settings:
- On your computer, open the document you want to print.
- Click on File > Print.
- Select your HP ENVY 6000 printer.
- Click on Printer Properties or Preferences.
- Under Paper/Quality or Paper Size, select the correct envelope size (#10 envelope).
- Under Paper Type, select Envelope.
- Set the orientation to Landscape if required.
4. Update Printer Drivers:
- Make sure your printer driver is up to date by going to the HP support page and downloading the latest driver for your specific model.
5. Check for Firmware Updates: Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Firmware issues can also prevent printing envelopes. Use the HP Smart app to check for and install any available firmware updates.
6. Try Another Application:
- Some applications, like Microsoft Word, have dedicated options for printing envelopes. Go to Mailings > Envelopes, and set the envelope options there.
7. Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it for 60 seconds, and then plug it back in and try printing the envelope again.
8. Check Paper Tray Settings:
- Ensure the paper tray is not misconfigured for a different type of media like photo paper or labels, which could prevent it from detecting envelopes properly.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
