HP ENVY 6052 All-In-One Printer

Hello. I could not connect to Wi-Fi, meaning my printer's WiFi in on, it's connected, and "Wi-Fi signal is strong", according to my Internet provider. It's my HP Smart app that doesn't recognize it. It used to, but all of a sudden, it says it's not connected, although my Internet provider says it is. And the blue Wi-Fi light is on.

I read on this forum to factory reset the printer.

I did.

Successfully.

Now it doesn't recognize these cartridges because they're not the originals "it came with when new." If course they're not. My printer is over 2 years old, just old enough to not be under warranty.

Now it's blinking an 3E error code and had a yellow light.

I'm afraid I messed up by factory-resetting it, since now it wants the original ink heads.

What can I do?

I've tried EVERYTHING.

I've disconnected/reconnected, unplugged/plugged, removed cartridges, jumped 4 times, ran in circles, pulled out my hair, EVERYTHING. I'm on hour 3 (with a break in between) trying to deal with this.

Any suggestions? I can't throw it in the fire cuz you know, environmental things... And I don't own an ax.

I'm using my Android Moto 5 5g 2023, but I don't know what it runs on. Mostly it runs on awesomeness.

Any tips would be GREATLY APPRECIATED 🙏

Also, the info paper says "This printer is not connected to a network." It also says, "this printer is not enrolled in HP instant ink. To use the installed HP instant ink cartridges the printer must be enrolled."  I keep checking and it IS enrolled.

Hi @CrazeeLupz

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP ENVY 6052 printer. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the problem.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • Ensure that your printer is still connected to Wi-Fi.
  • On your Android device, go to Wi-Fi settings and make sure it's connected to the same network as your printer.

Restart Your Printer and Smartphone:

  • Turn off your printer and Android device.
  • Wait for a minute and then turn them back on.
  • Check if the HP Smart app recognizes your printer.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed.
  • If they are third-party cartridges, the printer might not recognize them. Consider using genuine HP ink cartridges.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer on the HP support website.
  • If there is, follow the instructions to update the firmware.

Reset Network Settings on Printer:

  • Use the printer control panel to navigate to the network settings.
  • Choose the option to reset network settings.
  • Reconnect your printer to Wi-Fi.

HP Smart App:

  • Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app on your Android device.
  • Set up your printer again within the app.

As a side note, keep in mind that factory resetting the printer should not affect its compatibility with non-original ink cartridges. If the issue persists, it might be related to the specific cartridges or a separate problem with the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
