Hi @Kim2593,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3776 is missing yellow ink after a power surge, here are some steps you can try.
- Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the yellow ink cartridge is properly installed and has enough ink. You can check the ink levels through the printer’s control panel or HP Smart app.
- Inspect the Cartridge: Remove the yellow ink cartridge and inspect it for any damage. If the cartridge is old or defective, consider replacing it with a new one.
- Clean the Printhead: Sometimes, a power surge can affect the printhead. Use the printer’s built-in cleaning function to clean the printhead. You can usually find this option in the printer’s settings or maintenance menu.
- Perform a Printer Reset: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset any temporary issues caused by the power surge.
- Run a Printhead Alignment: After cleaning the printhead, run a printhead alignment to ensure that the printhead is properly aligned.
- Check for Firmware Updates: Sometimes firmware updates can fix issues. Check the HP website for any available updates for your printer model.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
