Hi @Irishanny,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The yellow or orange light on the side of an HP printer typically indicates a warning or error condition. The meaning of the light may vary depending on the specific model of your HP printer.

Please help us with the Printer serial number or the product number in a private message for further assistance.

Here is the link to find the product number:- Click here

I hope this helps.

Here are some general steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

Check the Printer Display: If your HP printer has a display screen, check for any error messages or additional information that may help identify the problem.

Paper Jam: Ensure there are no paper jams in the printer. Open the printer cover and check for any stuck paper. If there is a paper jam, carefully remove the jammed paper.

Ink or Toner Levels: If your printer uses ink or toner cartridges, check the levels. Low ink or toner can trigger warning lights. Replace any cartridges that are low or empty.

Printer Connections: Make sure that all cables connecting the printer to your computer or network are securely plugged in.

Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This can sometimes resolve temporary issues.

Update Firmware/Drivers: Check if there are any firmware or driver updates available for your printer on the HP support website. Updating the firmware or drivers may address certain issues.Click Here

Take care and have a good day.
