Hi! @Sharon_F, Welcome to HP forums.
I understand you have print quality issues while printing from the printer.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
Does the issue persist when you make a copy from the printer?
Have you installed the full feature printer software on your PC?
Have you tried printing from a different application?
Have you tried printing using a different ink cartridge?
Excellent description and a great diagnosis done. It is greatly appreciated.
Replace low, empty or faulty ink cartridges on your printer.
Print a test page on your printer and check if the print quality issue persists.
Check the ink level on your printer and replace the low or empty ink cartridge.
Use an automated tool to align the printhead
-
Load plain white paper into the tray.
-
Touch the Right Arrow (
) to display the second navigation screen.
-
Touch Tools, and then touch Align Printhead.
-
Wait while the printer aligns the printhead and then prints an alignment page.
-
Print another Print Quality Diagnostic Page to see if the issue is resolved.
If the copy works fine uninstall the printer software from root level and install the full feature printer software.
In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
Select your HP printer.
Select Uninstall.
In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
Click on Drivers tab.
Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.
Select OK.
Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
Close Devices and Printers.
Update the full feature printer software using this link. Click Here
