HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2775 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Each time I print, I receive the message "Your printer needs attention."  I have rebooted, checked drivers for currency, cleaned print heads, and run HP Print & Scan Doctor, and nothing changes.  The printer prints, but at a very reduced speed, even at 300 DPI.  What am I missing, please?

@Plushmeister, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Deskjet 2775!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It sounds like you've already tried many troubleshooting steps, but since your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2775 prints at a very slow speed and still shows the "Your printer needs attention" message, here are a few additional things you can check:

Check for Print Queue Issues

  • Open the Control PanelDevices and Printers.
  • Right-click your printer and select See what's printing.
  • If there are any stuck print jobs, clear them by selecting Cancel All Documents.

Disable "Print in Quiet Mode"

  • Open HP Smart or HP Printer Assistant.
  • Look for Printer Settings.
  • If Quiet Mode is enabled, turn it off and save the settings.

Adjust Printer Preferences

  • Open Control PanelDevices and Printers.
  • Right-click your printer and select Printing Preferences.
  • Under the Paper/Quality or Advanced tab, try:
    • Setting Print Quality to Draft or Normal instead of Best.
    • Disabling Print in Max DPI if enabled.

Check Connection Type

  • If you're using Wi-Fi, try connecting via USB to see if the issue persists.
  • If using Wi-Fi, restart your router and printer, then reconnect.

Perform a Hard Reset

  • With the printer powered on, unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall socket.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

Update or Reinstall Printer Software

  • Uninstall the printer from your system (Settings → Devices → Printers & Scanners).
  • Download and install the latest full driver package from the HP Support website.

If the issue persists, let me know if there are any additional error codes or messages! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
