Just to keep you informed... another week has now gone by and the issue HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. What does it take to get action?

I wanted to let other members of the community know that after nearly two months and working with 7 different people at HP.... MY PRINTER WORKS AGAIN!!!! It's a Christmas miracle!

Today, I spent about 45 minutes on the phone with JP from HP. He was able to accomplish the regionalization. Surprisingly, he was not aware of the issue and didn't know why it happened (nothing in the notes/resources for technical reps). However, he was able to get it resolved. I encouraged him to document it internally to ensure that other clients don't have a two-month long frustrating experience with HP, so HP doesn't needlessly waste so much time/money on customer service, and so customer service reps are equipped to do their job successfully.

Thanks to all in this community that provided support and encouragement.

I bought a complete set of z10 cartridges and they don't fix the problem either.  So don't bother.

I understand your frustration! What I learned is that with the new set of cartridges, you still need to talk with customer service and have them do the "regionalization" process (they remote into your computer and reset the printer region). JP in customer service did that for me. However, not all of the customer service people know or understand that. Perhaps one of the experts that watches this forum can help you get connected to the right resources (as they did for me). Good luck!

What country are you in?  You will need to Contact HP to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. You will need to have access to your computer and printer while on the line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once the reset is complete cartridges from the original region will no longer work.  HP's web page on the subject is here.  If you are in the US/Canada you will need Z10 cartridges.
