Hi @twinkle358,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
- Check Paper Size & Layout Settings: Open the document you want to print, click File > Print, and check the Paper Size & Layout settings. Make sure the correct paper size (A4, Letter, etc.) is selected. Set the scale to 100% instead of "Fit to Page" if necessary.
- Try a Different App: If the issue happens in one application, try printing from another app like Word, Notepad, or a PDF viewer. If another app prints correctly, the issue might be with the original program’s print settings.
- Reset Printer Settings: On the printer’s touchscreen, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance. Select Restore Defaults and reset the printer settings. Restart the printer and try printing again.
- Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers: Uninstall the printer driver from your PC. Download and install the latest drivers from HP's support page. Restart your computer and reconnect the printer.
- Print a Test Page & Alignment Page: On the printer’s touchscreen, go to Setup > Print Reports > Print Quality Report. Check if the alignment is off. If needed, re-run the Alignment Process from Setup > Printer Maintenance > Align Printhead.
- Print Using HP Smart App: If the issue persists, try printing via the HP Smart App instead of your usual method. Open HP Smart, select your printer, and print a test document.
Let me know if this helps! 😊
