HP Laserjet M-Series
Microsoft Windows Server 2019

Installed Universal Printer driver PCL 6 v7.0.1 (61.255.1.24923).

Using this driver for several servershared HP LaserJet M* Series Products.

Server OS: MS Server 2019

Client OS: Windows 10

Problem:

Printing from clients looks ok (printer will print), but after finishing printjob, the jobs will stay listed as "sent to printer" state in Printer Queue and can only be cleaned up manually. They will not disappear automatically. They do not block the following jobs, but the list is growing and growing...

Tried several "solutions" listed in this community forum without any result.

It is no option to DISABLE "Advanced Printing features" or "bidirectional communication".

It is also no option to install all dedicated Printer Drivers for all our HP M-Series Products. We do need to use the universal printer to only administrate one printer driver for all systems.

Did someone already solved this issue?

I have seen some posts on other forums about issues with the 7.01 driver and you might want to back date to the 6.9 driver as they were nearly bulletproof.
