HP Office Jet pro 9015E

I have a blank screen.  I've tried the uplug, "drain" procedure a couple of times.

Do I need to try a factory reset?

@brownrabs, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015E has a blank screen and you've already attempted unplugging and "draining" the device, a factory reset could be a viable next step. However, please be aware that performing a factory reset may erase any customized settings on your printer. Here’s a typical approach for handling such issues:

Check Connections: Make sure that all cables are connected properly and that the power source is functioning correctly.

Firmware Update: Sometimes, the issue can be resolved by updating the printer firmware. You can do this through the HP Smart app or the HP website.

Perform a Factory Reset:

Turn off the printer using the power button.

Disconnect the printer from the power source for a few minutes.

Reconnect and turn it back on.

Access the Printer Menu for Factory Reset:

  • Often accessible through the printer's menu via the control panel, check the user manual for specific steps related to your model.
  • If the screen is entirely non-responsive, it may be necessary to consult HP support on alternative methods for resetting.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
