@Kem8971, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Ink Cartridge Light Blinking!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If the light next to your ink cartridges is blinking, but the HP App says the printer is ready to print, it indicates there might be an issue with the ink cartridges. Here are the steps you can follow to resolve the issue:
1. Check Ink Cartridge Compatibility
Make sure the ink cartridges you installed are compatible with your printer model. Compatibility issues can cause the ink cartridge lights to blink.
2. Reseat the Ink Cartridges
- Open the ink cartridge access door and wait for the carriage to move into the center of the printer.
- Remove the ink cartridges and inspect them for any protective tape that might still be attached to the electrical contacts or ink nozzles.
- Reinsert the ink cartridges firmly until they click into place.
- Close the ink cartridge access door.
3. Clean the Ink Cartridge Contacts
Sometimes, dirty or clogged contacts can cause the ink cartridge lights to blink.
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
- Remove the ink cartridges.
- Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water to gently clean the contacts on the ink cartridges and inside the carriage.
- Allow the contacts to dry completely before reinserting them.
- Reinsert the ink cartridges and close the ink access door.
4. Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
