When I installed a new black cartridge, it wouldn't align the page. Just got a message to refer to the printer documentation. None of the buttons work when this happened.

We need to isolate the issue to being hardware or software related first.

If this does not resolve the issue, then it is a hardware issue with the unit and it needs to be serviced by contacting HP phone support by visiting this link: http://hp.com/contacthp
