Hi @Acer59,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for the details! Since your HP printer is connected to Wi-Fi and can print a test page directly from the printer but not from your computer, the issue is likely with the printer driver, connection settings, or print queue on your PC.
Let’s walk through a step-by-step fix:
Step 1: Set the Printer as Default
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Click your HP printer > Set as default.
Step 2: Clear the Print Queue
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer > See what’s printing.
- Cancel all documents in the queue.
- Try printing again.
Step 3: Restart Print Spooler Service
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Find Print Spooler, right-click > Restart.
- Try printing a test page again.
Step 4: Reinstall the Printer
- Go to Settings > Printers & scanners.
- Remove your HP printer.
- Click Add device to reinstall it.
- If it doesn’t show up, click Add manually and select via IP address (you can find this on the printer’s network settings page).
Step 5: Install or Update HP Smart App
- Download or open the HP Smart app HP Smart - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store.
- Add your printer and try printing from there.
- The app can also run diagnostics and update firmware.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
