Product: color laserjetM252dw

hello can anyone tell me why my M252dw color laserjet printer will not let print on cardstock without smearing the ink. I have changed it to Cardstock in printer preferences and everything. Also its leaving the colors of what I'm printing on the roller and I have to put a piece of regular copier paper in to clean it.

Are you changing the settings on the printer itself to cardstock? Does the printer run noticeably slower when you print cardstock? If not you do not have the settings correct. For best results on heavy media the printer needs to run slower so that it can properly bond the toner to the page. Can you post a sample?
