Printer recently substituted with a new (reconditioned) one from HP Support.
Instructions are to setup the new printer with supplied cartridges. Done.
I kept setup cartridge working during two weeks.
I had a 934 XL cartridge (dismounted, it never worked because old printer was out of order).
I thought to substitute setup cartridge with 934XL to avoid its clogging.
Printer was on (still printing few minutes before) i opened it.....printing head do not move to central position!
I switched off and then on again, i repeat opening upper part.....nothing happens.
I supposed to bypass that problem (and so i did) ordering a print, then, while print head was working, i opened upper part, catched the 934 "setup H".....print head went to right running end....i couldn't mount my XL cartridge!.
Head there is and remain: i didn't find any way to make print head moving and coming in the center.
I tried to print a file from PC: nothing moves.
Clicking on printer icon, it opens a window where:
-on top (first line) after the printer name there is a warning: "user intervention";
-(second line) listed the file name waiting to be printed;
-(bottom line) can read "one process on cue".
Could someone help me?
Thanks a lot.

@ftelesf, you are welcome.
I am happy to know that the issue has resolved as you were able to install the cartridges after disconnecting the power supply when the carriage was at the center.
I also appreciate your time and patience.

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that you are unable to replace the cartridges of your printer as the printhead does not com to the center.
This issue could be a hardware issue with the carriage.
Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.
And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: http://hp.care/2fOhW1u
Let me know how this works.

Link, that you kindly sent to me, wasn't useful in my situation.
My printer is like new (printed 32 pages) and i make it "out of order", doing an attempt to change black cartridge while it was printing.
It absolutely hasn't any piece of paper among its mechanisms.
I wondered how to make the manager move the print-head.
I made some trials without any success.
By a mere chance, i move a little a black gear that we can see on left, low internal, part of printer.
When i abandoned my wishes to make casual trials, i switched off the printer while it was open......
I could see the print-head MOVING!!!!
Repeating the sequence, while head was passing by the center, i pull out electricity cord from the socket: all things stop
and i could replace black ink cartridge.
My 6830 now works!!!!
Thank you Rainbow23.
