having trouble with my Deskjet 2630 printer. the light is flashing showing my colour cartridge as supposedly empty (it isn't).and I have various messages telling me the ink cartridge is not installed or there is an issue with it. I have taken both cartridges out and tried cleaning them - not easy - but this has not helped. I am just going round in circles, Any help out there? I haven't had any ink for over a year. Is it possible that the ink has dried up a bit and is preventing the cartridges from contacting the printer?

If you have already performed the steps from the document Ink cartridge errors and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
