I have a paper jam in the printer. The paper visible from the back side and stuck in the upper area. No creases visible. Paper is fixed between the rollers (fixation unit?) and cannot be pulled out. It happened after i printed the back side of the special very strong paper. How can it be removed?

a)-continuing the transportation by a special print command ?

b)-opening the rollers and releasing the paper?

If you open a back door can you access jammed paper and gently pull it out?

I have very good access to the paper, but it is impossible to pull it out. The paper is a high strength paper and it does not berak even when I pull with full force. No way to get it out that way.

Is the paper jammed before the fuser or in the fuser. Can you post a picture of where it is stuck. One thing to try is to remove all toners and then carefully turn the printer onto one side so that you have access to the bottom so you can see if something is jammed there. Have you printed on this media with this printer before? If not it is possible that this media contains plastic fibre and has melted to the fuser assembly.

It seems to stuck in the fuser. I used this paper very frequently. Never problems with melting. I tried to print on the back side. Therefore on the photo you see a printed map, which is from the first print.

The paper is still complete, creases are from the trials to pull it out. Even after removing the toner there is no paper visible.

It's probably melted ( or heat glued) on itself one round over the heat roller that's is the reason it won't come out by pulling.

A fuser removal is needed, then carefully removing that media, or in the worst case a new fuser. A new fuser will cost you around 300 EUR.

Sorry, but I don't think this is the reason. The paper is Pretex(R) 50, 100 g, recommended for laser printers.

I have printed some 100  pages without any melting problem. Even with a fully heated flat iron there is no melting or melt sticking. Only the toner is "reactivated".

When you have a print with a lot of toner coverage then can happen that if the paper gets wrapped around heat roller due to the huge amount of toner paper gets glued over itself.

@Valsimot is correct. In cases where there is extremely heavy toner coverage, the separator pawls that are supposed to ensure the paper feeds properly around the fuser rollers without sticking can fail to do their job. It could also be that one side of the paper is coated and by feeding the paper to print on the back side something caused it to jam.

the paper was wrapped around the fusion roll and glued together with toner. There should be a warning in the manual not to print on both sides with heavy colour load. Maybe especially if a low wicking or smooth coated special paper or foil is used where the toner cannot penetrate into the paper. I had to remove the fusion unit to get access to the jam. Then it was easy.
