I am trying to print a photograph on A3 paper which has both bold red and greens on it which are printing blotchy the pinks and purples are printing normally and good, any ideas what could be the problem?  All inks are HP and the diagnostics report was good.  The paper whilst it is not HP is Epson Archival Matte.

@Mags11, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I understand you have issues while printing A3 sized photographs. Let us first try and isolate the issue-

Do you have issues printing smaller photographs?

Does the Epson Archival matte paper meet the printer's paper handling specs? Refer to the Printer Specifications for HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format e-All-in-One Printer Series for details

Also, refer to the document How to Print Photos (Mac) for help on settings before you print.

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi thanks for your response but it is not a resolution problem it is a colour problem and I think that having only 4 inks is not helping with these particular colours.  The paper is fine and in fact very good quality and has previously printed well.  I think my issue is that I now require a dedicated photo printer as well as my current all in one.

I know what you mean, and a new printer would do you good, however, I wouldn't give up on this printer as it had been working previously as you mentioned earlier, and here are a few other steps you can perform before we conclude that an alternate photo printer is the only way out. Follow the steps below-

Remove and add the printer using AirPrint drivers-

Click the Apple menu, and then select System Preferences.

Depending on your operating system version, click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners.

Click the name of your printer, click the Minus sign, and then delete the printer.

Select printer and click the minus sign

Click the Plus sign, and then click Add Printer or Scanner.

Click the Use or Print Using box, and then select AirPrint

Select AirPrint from the Use menu

Click Add to add the printer to the list.

Try to print.

Also, let me know which application are you trying to print from?

Keep me posted for further assistance.
