I am trying to set a custom paper size for the above printer. Size being 89mm x 127mm. I cannot get it to print a custom size piece. Can anybody help please?

Interesting.
I have no idea whether the printer actually prints other than the sizes in the Specs.
I'd guess not.
I checked two more sources:
Internal check
Media Sizes Custom (imperial) | 3.85 x 8.5 to 5 x 12.2 in |
Media Sizes Custom (metric) | 97.79 x 215 to 127 x 355 mm |
Datasheet - HP ENVY Photo 6230 All-in-OnePrinter
(same series)
Media size
Custom (metric): 97.79 x 215 to 127 x 355 mm
Supported (metric): A4; A5; B5; DL; C6; A6
The advertisement on which you were depending or the specifications and datasheet are wrong.
I would guess the advertising is in error.

Sorry, no - printer can't do this.
The paper size 89mm is not within the range of supported custom sizes.

Thanks for your reply Dragon fur but the blurb advertising the printer specifically says that it can print 76 x 127mm to 216 x 356mm. I bought this printer because it could go down so small. Have I been missold?
