HP Recommended

HP Product Research app is consuming considerable CPU. I want to DELETE it. I can't find it ANYWHERE.

How do I uninstall it - WITHOUT uninstalling all my HP software!

I just checked for updates and installed the latest software.

It now shows Version 5.33.1 (1734)

HP Product Research is still present in the task list, but is not consuming noticeable CPU

Hi,

What is your printer model?

 

How did you installed te printer?

 

I highly doubt the HP Product Research app is part of the 10.12 HP Software, you likely have an old software installed, which is not intended for Mac OS Sierra and therefore you experience issues...

HP Officejet 8740

 

It replaced the 8600 Pro

 

I expect I installed with software from HP's site rather than from CD - I don't remember.

 

I very likely accepted the customer reporting option during install, but there SHOLD be an app ON the system SOMEWHERE.

 

I've followed a number of links and suggestions as to possible locations under user and system Library directory, but thus far have been unable to locate the app! All the suggestions, by their date, are well prior to 10.12.

 

HP Utiity version is: Version 5.29.2

Hi,  im having the same problme. 

 

Running Mac Os Sierra 10.12.3

Having printer 3630 Deskjet.

I dont know how and where to update the software

 

HP Product Research is using up my memory and battery and it keeps launching within seconds when force quitting it.
