Hi @mdixon67,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

That sounds frustrating! If your HP DeskJet 3772 keeps printing the same page every time it starts up, it's likely due to a print queue or driver Recent job stuck issue. Please try the steps below to fix the issue:

Fix: Printer Keeps Printing the Same Page on Startup

1. Cancel Stuck Print Jobs

  • On your Windows PC:
    • Go to Control Panel → Devices and Printers.
    • Right-click your printer → See what’s printing.
    • Cancel all documents in the queue.

2. Clear the Print Spooler

Sometimes the print spooler holds onto a job and resends it.

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Scroll to Print Spooler, right-click → Stop.
  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete all files.
  • Go back to services.msc, right-click Print Spooler → Start.

3. Check HP Smart App or HP Account

  • If you used the HP Smart app to print the first page, it might be stuck in the app’s memory.
  • Open the app → Go to Recent Print Jobs → Clear or delete any saved jobs.

4. Factory Reset the Printer (if needed)

If the issue persists, a reset may help:

  • Press and hold the Cancel (X) and Wireless (📶) buttons together for 5 seconds.
  • This will reset the network and clear any stuck jobs.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
