Hi @JohninMB,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
1. Check Ink Levels:
- Ensure that all ink cartridges have sufficient ink. Replace any low or empty cartridges.
2. Check for Clogs or Debris:
- Open the printer and inspect the printhead and cartridges for any visible clogs or debris.
- Clean the printhead contacts gently with a lint-free cloth and distilled water.
3. Run Printhead Cleaning Utility:
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance.
- Select Clean Printhead and follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Replace Cartridges:
- Inspect the ink cartridges. If they look damaged or if printhead cleaning does not resolve the issue, replace them with new cartridges.
5. Print a Test Page:
- From the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Print Quality Report.
- Check if the test page prints correctly. If it prints without issues, the problem might be software-related.
6. Update Printer Drivers:
- Ensure the printer drivers are up-to-date. Visit the HP OfficeJet Pro 8028 Drivers and Software Page to download and install the latest drivers.
7. Reinstall Printer Software:
- Uninstall the printer software from your Windows 10 (64-bit) computer, then reinstall it from the HP support page.
- Control Panel > Programs and Features > Uninstall the printer software.
- Visit the HP support page to download and install the latest software.
8. Check Print Settings:
- From the application you are printing from, make sure the print settings are correctly configured.
- Ensure the correct paper size and type are selected.
9. Restart Print Spooler:
- Type services in the Windows search bar and open the Services application.
- Find Print Spooler in the list, right-click it, and select Restart.
I hope this helps.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
