Hi @dwpayne,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 is printing scanned documents in grayscale as green, it could be due to a few potential reasons. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and possibly resolve the issue.

Check Printer Settings: Ensure that the printer settings are correctly configured for grayscale printing. Sometimes, the settings might default to a colored output even if the source is grayscale.

Printer Driver Update: Make sure that you have the latest printer driver installed. You can download the latest drivers from the HP support website. Updating the driver can sometimes resolve issues related to color misrepresentation.

Color Calibration: Run the printer's color calibration or alignment process. This can ensure that colors are printed correctly and can fix issues of unexpected color displays.

Check the Scanning Software: If you are scanning using HP software, verify that the scanning settings are set to grayscale. The software settings might inadvertently alter the grayscale output leading to colors.

Firmware Update: Check for any firmware updates for your printer. Sometimes, these issues may be resolved with a newer firmware version.

Printhead Cleaning: Clean the printer’s printhead using the maintenance settings on the printer. A clogged printhead can cause incorrect colors to be printed.

Test with Another Computer: If possible, try scanning and printing from another computer. This can help determine if the issue is with the printer or the computer's settings.

Color Profile Adjustment: Adjust the printer’s color profile settings through the printer software or control panel. Sometimes, the color profiles may be set incorrectly for document printing.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
