Hi @Sharon682,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To remove the drawing pins from your HP Smart Tank Wireless 455 printer, follow these steps carefully to avoid any damage:

Turn off the Printer: Before you do anything, make sure the printer is turned off and unplugged from any power source to prevent any electrical hazards or damage.

Open the Printer Cover: Open the cover of your printer where you would normally access the paper tray or change the ink cartridges. This should give you better visibility and access to the interior where the pins might have fallen.

Gently Shake the Printer: Carefully tilt or gently shake the printer to see if the pins move to a more accessible position. Be cautious not to shake it too vigorously to avoid damaging internal components.

Use Tweezers or Needle-Nose Pliers: If you can see the pins, use a pair of tweezers or needle-nose pliers to carefully grab and remove them. Make sure not to force the tools into delicate areas to avoid damaging the printer.

Flashlight and Inspection: Use a flashlight to look into the printer for any hidden pins. Sometimes, small objects like drawing pins can get stuck in corners or under rollers.

Remove the Paper Tray: If your printer model allows, remove the paper tray to check if the pins have slipped underneath it.

Check for Obstructions: While you have access, check for any other obstructions or debris that could cause paper jams or affect printer functionality.

Reassemble and Test the Printer: Once you have removed the pins and ensured that there are no other obstructions, reassemble any parts you removed or opened, plug the printer back in, and turn it on. Run a test print to ensure everything is working correctly.

If not we need to service the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
