Hi @julkia,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The "E1" error on an HP ENVY 6055e All-In-One Printer typically indicates a paper jam or a carriage issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the error.
- Check for paper jams: Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord. Open the input tray and look for any stuck or jammed paper. Carefully remove any paper you find. Also, check the output tray and the rear access area for any obstructions.
- Clear any foreign objects: While inspecting for paper jams, look for any foreign objects like paper clips, staples, or debris that may be causing the error. Remove them if found.
- Reset the printer: After clearing any paper jams or foreign objects, reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer. This will allow the printer to reset and clear any error messages.
- Check the carriage: Open the printer's access door or ink cartridge access door (depending on the model) and make sure the carriage moves freely. If the carriage is stuck or does not move smoothly, try gently moving it from side to side to free it up. Avoid applying excessive force to prevent damage.
- Clean the paper feed rollers: Over time, dust and debris can accumulate on the paper feed rollers, causing paper feed issues. Clean the rollers using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water. Gently wipe the rollers to remove any dirt or residue.
- Update printer firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Visit the HP support website and search for your printer model to find and download the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions provided to update the printer firmware.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
