my envy 5055 hasn't worked for some time now.  I've only just coming back to it to getting working. new toner cartridges are installed but will not print.  I've followed all the instructions on to get it working still nothing

Did you pull the seal out of the new cartridge?  There are some contacts on the cartridge with corresponding contacts inside the printer. Try cleaning those with a cotton swab and ammonia. Make sure the cartridge is in all the way. Also, try removing the printer and drivers, and reinstalling manually. With the printer powered on, disconnect the power cord from the printer. Then remove the cord from the wall outlet. Plug the cord back into the printer, and then back into the wall outlet.

 

Try printing report pages and a test page. Reply with the results.
