Hi @Selim_Ben

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

The error code 0XC4EB0149 with “HW_MICCI2_V12” typically points to a firmware or internal hardware communication issue. Since you've already tried resets and cartridge removal, let’s go a step deeper with a structured recovery approach.

Here’s a focused set of steps to help bring your printer back to life:

Step-by-Step: Clear Error Code 0XC4EB0149

1. Perform a Full Power Reset

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall.
  • Wait 2–3 minutes to allow internal capacitors to discharge.
  • While unplugged, press and hold the Power button on the printer for 30 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord directly to a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors).
  • Turn the printer back on.

This deep reset helps clear internal memory and voltage residue that may trigger persistent errors.

2. Remove and Reinsert Printhead and Cartridges

  • Open the ink access door and wait for the carriage to stop.
  • Gently remove all ink cartridges.
  • If your printer has a removable printhead, lift the latch and remove it carefully.
  • Wipe the copper contacts on the printhead and cartridges with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
  • Let them dry for 5 minutes, then reinstall everything securely.

Ensure the printhead clicks into place and the latch is fully closed.

3. Update Firmware via USB (if accessible)

If the printer becomes responsive after reset:

  • Download the latest firmware from HP’s official site:
    HP Printer Firmware Updates
  • Enter your printer model and select the correct firmware version.
  • Connect the printer via USB and run the update tool.

Firmware updates can resolve internal communication faults that trigger this error.

If the error persists after all these steps, the issue may involve a deeper hardware fault such as a failed printhead controller or logic board. While I can’t comment on service options, I’m here to help you explore every possible recovery path.
