hello
i had a
HP - Envy Photo 6234 All-in-One Wireless Inkjet Printer purchased november 2020
by February it was faulty,
ive had countless advisers try to help promising to get it repaired,
eventually hp told me to bin the printer and they would send me a new one,
they sent me a 6232 and on my hp page it is not covered by warranty as its classed as refurbished.
heres 1 of many job numbers [content removed]
since april i have been either on here or live chat, i did have a guy try to phone me a few times last month, but ive been struggling with my mental health so was not able to take his calls.
then i try to do a scan i get error code 0x00829c98 HW WATCHDOG C which ive just got again when i went to do a test scan
i should have bought a usb hp printer, but instead i thought if i buy a expensive printer it should work better, yet no still full of errors.
theres got to be someone out there who can do there job, ive sent photos of reciept, payment, warranty yet still no 1 can help me, im about to smash it to smithereens and buy a brother or canon printer
[content removed] is the last job number
disgraceful

Hi @johnjcb,
I'd like to help!
I understand you are not able to print due to an error code.
Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
Check for any jams inside the printer and make sure the print carriage is moving freely.
Perform the steps mentioned in this document.
For more info on resolving 0x errors, kindly refer to this document.
If the issue persists, please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

hello thanks for your reply.
first of all i do not have a wall socket near my office equipment so its thro a surge protector, when i do try to scan the printer clicks and that error comes up. so then i need to pull power cord, and it resets,
my laptop is 3 months old its very powerful and upto date a hp pavilion 2 in 1 i7 16gb ram, yet it says i have not installed the relevent drivers, i need to do that everytime i try to run scan doctor, it all loads in, then it says theres a easier way, download easystart. yet the next day if i need to print a document, its back to square 1 and i need to do all the steps again. its been doing since april. i also have an extended warranty from currys but they wont entertain me until the 1 yr warranty is up, then that will be more hassles as its been swapped over to a refurbished model with no warranty

below is also a screen save of the warranty set up on my account, the last guy to help, the 1 with those case numbers, said he had rectified it, but as you can clearly see its still the same. this was my initial complaint, then the rest happened

Thank you for getting back to me.
We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue
