I understand the error code 30 on the HP ENVY 7645 e-All-in-One Printer typically indicates a hardware issue, often related to the printhead or the ink cartridges.
Here are some steps you can take to try to resolve this issue:
1. Power Cycle the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
2. Check the Ink Cartridges
- Open the printer's access door and check if the ink cartridges are properly seated.
- Remove each cartridge and inspect them for any signs of damage or leaks. Clean the contacts with a lint-free cloth.
- Reinsert the cartridges, ensuring they click into place.
3. Check for Printhead Issues
- If the error persists, remove the printhead (if your model allows for it) and check for any obstructions or damage.
- Clean the printhead contacts with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Reinsert the printhead carefully.
4. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP website. This tool can help diagnose and resolve many common printer issues.
5. Check for Paper Jams HP ENVY 7640, Officejet 5740, 8040 Printers - Paper Jam Error
- Ensure there are no paper jams in the printer. Check both the input and output trays as well as inside the printer for any stuck paper.
6. Reset the Printer
- If none of the above steps work, you may want to reset the printer to its factory settings. Check the user manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
