@tianaopsomer, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Continuous Toner Error Codes!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP printer keeps displaying toner error codes despite replacing all toner cartridges, follow the steps below to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
1. Identify the Specific Error Code
Make sure to note the specific error code being displayed (e.g., 63.00.3B, 63.00.3D, 63.00.3F, or 63.00.41). Different error codes correspond to different issues related to the toner concentration (T/C) sensor for various colors (Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, Black).
2. Recommended Actions for Customers
- The printer's control panel message may suggest turning the printer off and then on. However, HP recommends not power cycling the printer and continuing to print.
3. Replacing and Resetting Developer Units
A technician may need to be dispatched to perform the following steps:
- Replace the developer unit: Remove the old unit and install a new one using the correct part number (e.g., JC96-11666A for Black, JC96-11665A for Cyan, JC96-11664A for Magenta, JC96-11663A for Yellow).
- Reset the developer count: After replacing the unit, ensure to reset the developer unit count by navigating through the printer's service menus.
4. Upgrade Firmware
After resolving the error and replacing the necessary parts, it is crucial to upgrade the printer's firmware to version 4.6.2.1 or newer to prevent the issue from recurring.
5. Additional Troubleshooting Steps
If the error persists, follow these steps:
- Check toner cartridge: Ensure toner cartridges are compatible and properly installed. Verify the date-code to check if the cartridges are current and not expired.
- Inspect the toner supply pipe: Check for any blockages or hardened toner.
- Run diagnostic tests: Perform diagnostic tests on the Drum Motor and Toner Dispense Motor to ensure they are functioning correctly.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
