Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are getting errors while printing, I am glad to assist you.
Did you make a copy and check if that prints fine?
Meanwhile:-
This seems to be a driver issue, uninstall and reinstall the printer driver to fix the issue.
Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer-related software.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Remove all instances of the same.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
- Restart the PC again.
Download and install the printer using the HP Smart app
Click here to download the HP Smart app.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi Sandy, I've followed your instructions without success ... I can confirm the printer works properly from a technical point of view however still error when printing . When checking the list of printers in my computer settings, I've in fact 2 printers identified: HP Deskjet 3700 with indication below this product that "driver is unavailable" and my printer HP Deskjet HP250198 (HP Deskjet 3700 series) with no error identified. HP smart application refers only to the first one: HP Deskjet 3700 All in One and indicates the printer is ready. I had removed both and reloaded as per your instructions. Still same status. I'm LOST !!
Many thanks in advance for your support
