Hi @Jeanette78,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code 62.80.27 on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-in-One Printer indicates a printhead problem. Here are steps to clear the error and attempt to resolve the issue.
Turn Off the Printer:
- Power off the printer and unplug it from the electrical outlet. Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging it back in.
Check the Printhead:
- Open the printer’s access door to reach the printhead. Carefully remove the printhead by gently pressing the tabs on each side and lifting it out.
Inspect the Printhead:
- Look for any visible issues such as clogged nozzles or ink build-up. If you see any, clean it gently with a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water. Avoid using any chemicals.
Clean the Printhead Contacts:
- Use a lint-free cloth or cotton swab lightly dampened with distilled water to clean the electrical contacts on the printhead and the carriage inside the printer. Be careful not to touch the nozzles.
Reinstall the Printhead:
- Carefully place the printhead back into its slot, making sure it’s securely in place.
Check the Ink Cartridges:
- Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges to ensure they are seated correctly. Check for any damaged or empty cartridges and replace them if necessary.
Perform a Printer Reset:
- After reinstalling the printhead and ink cartridges, close the access door and power the printer back on. Perform a printer reset by navigating to the printer’s settings menu and selecting “Restore Factory Defaults” if available.
Run Printhead Cleaning:
- Access the printer's control panel or software on your computer to run a printhead cleaning cycle. This can help clear any residual blockages.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
