What is different?
These are both modest (inexpensive) printers that provide simple printing options (no ADF, for example).
Sometimes the difference between models is nothing more than the merchant.
For example,
The HP Envy 5055 Printer is sold by HP in their online Store
A quick check on the 'net, shows that the HP Envy 5052 Printer is sold at Walmart.
The region in which the model is sold can make a difference. For example, some printers in the same series are sold in the USA, others in that series might be sold in the UK.
Check the specifications (listed below) to see "what the printer can do".
If the product is sold by HP, there might be a Datasheet for a model in which you have an interest (link below for the 5055).
