followed the instructions by editing the certificate on EWS (3650 days) but the problem persists

If you are experiencing issues due to an expired certificate while using the HP Smart Tank 7005 All-in-One on a Mac, here is a general guide to resolving the issue:

Update Printer Firmware:

  • First, ensure that your printer firmware is up to date. Updated firmware can resolve many issues, including those related to security certificates.
  • To update, go to the HP Software and Driver Downloads page on your Mac.
  • Enter your printer model, select Firmware from the driver list, download it, and follow on-screen instructions for installation.

Check for Software Updates:

  • Ensure that both your MacOS and the HP Smart app are up to date. This ensures compatibility and security feature support.

Reinstall the HP Smart App:

  • Sometimes, reinstalling the HP Smart app can solve issues related to certificates as it ensures all components are set up correctly.
