@Paco_RRO, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Fixing an Expired Certificate!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you encounter an error related to an expired certificate on your HP printer or Poly device, there are specific steps you can follow to resolve the issue. Here's a guide on how to address an expired certificate error for HP printers, particularly when dealing with macOS or iOS devices:
HP Printers (macOS/iOS)
When printing from macOS or iOS, an expired certificate can prevent printing. This error occurs when the Embedded Web Server (EWS) certificate expires. To fix this, you need to generate a new self-signed certificate from a Windows PC.
Open the Embedded Web Server (EWS):
- On a Windows computer, open an internet browser and enter the printer’s IP address to access the EWS page.
Generate a New Self-Signed Certificate:
- Click on the Network tab in the EWS page.
- Expand the Advanced Settings by clicking the plus sign and then select Certificates.
- Click Configure, select Create a New Self-Signed Certificate, and follow the prompts to complete the process.
Finalize the Certificate Process:
- After generating the certificate, it defaults to being valid for 10 years. Ensure the EWS page is closed after completing the certificate generation.
This should resolve the expired certificate error and allow you to print again from your macOS or iOS devices.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
