Hi @bigalexjr ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Error code 30 on an HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 All-In-One Printer typically indicates an issue with the ink system. Here are steps you can try to resolve the error:

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the printer.
  • Turn on the printer.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer on the HP support website.
  • Download and install the latest firmware following the provided instructions.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Make sure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and are not expired.
  • Remove the ink cartridges and reinstall them. Ensure they are securely in place.

Clean the Printhead:

  • Some printers allow you to clean the printhead through the control panel or software utility. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.

Run Print Quality Diagnostic:

  • Many printers have a diagnostic or print quality report that can be generated. Print a diagnostic page to identify any issues with the print quality.

Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a reset on the printer. Refer to your printer's manual for specific instructions on how to reset

Check for Obstructions:

  • Ensure there are no obstructions in the paper path or printhead path that may be causing the error.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
