HP DeskJet 4133e All-in-One Printer

I tried the fixes (unplug then turn back on after wait, several times, installed new cartridges, nothing worked. I have had the printer less than on year and it is always getting stuck. I regret buying it but would like to get it working since I did.

Hi @Bacoe,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP DeskJet 4133e printer. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problems.

Power Cycle:

  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back in.
  • Turn the printer on.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer on the HP support website.
  • If an update is available, follow the instructions provided to update the firmware.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Make sure there is no paper jam in the printer. Even a small piece of paper can cause issues.
  • Open the printer cover and check all areas for any stuck paper.

Check Cartridges:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and securely in place.
  • Make sure you've removed any protective tapes or seals from the cartridges.

Clean Cartridge Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Remove the ink cartridges.
  • Clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges with a lint-free cloth.
  • Reinstall the cartridges.

Reset Printer Settings:

  • Go to the printer settings on the control panel and perform a factory reset.
  • Refer to the printer manual for instructions on how to reset the printer.

Check for Software Issues:

  • Ensure that the printer drivers are up-to-date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.
  • If you have recently updated your computer's operating system, make sure the printer is compatible.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
