HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-in-One Printer

Envy Photo 7855 Printer Freezes during Boot-up Stops at One Dot

I've tried all of the suggestions off unplugging and plugging in, taking out the cartridges, I've waited 30 sec, 3 min, 3 hrs, 24hrs, and nothing has worked. I need to do a hard reset on this.

HI @Vicat40,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy Photo 7855 printer is freezing during boot-up and hasn't responded to standard troubleshooting steps like unplugging, waiting, and removing cartridges, a hard reset might help. Here's how you can perform a hard reset on the HP Envy Photo 7855:

Performing a Hard Reset

Turn off the Printer: Make sure the printer is turned off.

Disconnect Power Cord: Unplug the power cord from the rear of the printer and also from the power outlet.

Wait a Few Minutes: Allow the printer to sit idle for about 2-3 minutes to completely drain residual power.

Reconnect Power Cord: Plug the power cord back into the printer and then into the power outlet.

Turn on the Printer: Press the Power button to turn on the printer.

Wait for Initialization: Allow the printer to initialize and start up. This might take a few minutes.

Check for Normal Operation: Once the printer has started up, check if it is operating normally without freezing at the boot-up stage.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
