Hi @ Duse_adol,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code 49 on an HP LaserJet printer usually indicates a firmware error. It can be caused by a variety of issues, such as corrupt print jobs, outdated firmware, or problems with the printer's memory.
Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
- Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and disconnect it from the power source.
- Wait for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Reconnect the power cable and turn the printer back on.
- Cancel or Delete Print Jobs:
- If possible, check the print queue on your computer and cancel any pending print jobs.
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the job queue and cancel any print jobs.
- Update Firmware:
- Check the HP website for your specific printer model and see if there is a firmware update available.
- Download and install the latest firmware following the instructions provided by HP.
- Reset the Printer:
- Perform a cold reset on the printer. This process varies by model, so refer to your printer's manual for instructions.
- Check for Network Issues:
- If the printer is connected to a network, ensure that the network connection is stable.
- Try disconnecting the printer from the network and see if the error persists.
- Remove and Reinstall Print Drivers:
- On your computer, uninstall the printer drivers.
- Reinstall the latest drivers from the HP website.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
