Welcome to the HP Community.

5.5 cm = 2.16 inches

8.5 cm = 3 .34 inches

This size is smaller than the printer supports.

Printer Specifications for HP DeskJet 3700 Printers

Section Paper Handling

According to the Specifications, only MacOS supports custom sizes.

That said, even the custom sizes do not support this tiny size.

Scan the cards and save the content as a supported size.

Print that.

Open HP Smart Windows

Select to Scan Photos

Set the Scan size to a supported scan size (will match to a supported paper size)

Scan the content

NOTE:  If you preset the scan size to a supported paper size, save and print the content on a supported paper size.

Example - HP Smart - Scan Photos - Presets

What if the scan size is not matched to a supported paper size?

This is unlikely - the information is presented "What if" and "FYI"...

Set up and scan the content...

When the scan is complete, set the Boundaries to "Full" to capture the card plus the background.

Click Apply to save that change

Optionally Select to Rotate the scan

Click the three dot circle in the upper right of the completed Scan

Select Edit

Select Crop

Select to crop no smaller than the smallest selection that captures the "card" contents

AND that can be printed on supported paper.

Click Done when finished and continue with Save / Share / Print

General Example - HP Smart Windows - Scan Photos > Optional Rotate / Edits

HP_Smart_W10_Scan_Edit_Image_Set_7HP_Smart_W10_Scan_Edit_Image_Set_7

For example,

Assuming the Full Driver software is installed,

Select paper type Card / Thick paper (as available)

For example, Print on Index cards in a supported size.

Still not good enough? Trim the print to the size you want...
