I have updated updates and reloaded drivers but to no avail. My printer will not allow me to default to the printer that is networked to my laptop. It was working perfectly and now will not. Have tried every option i have found. Has anyone else had this issue. I suspect it is something to do with Windows 10.

Greetings!
Welcome to the HP Support Community. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries. I have reviewed your post and I understand there's an issue with the "0x.." error.
Appreciate you trying the steps. Don't worry, I'm here to help. To better assist you -
1) Are you experiencing the same issue while making a copy as well?
2) Is this error on the printer's control panel? Can you please send us a picture of the error screen?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps -
1) Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent.
3) With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Wait for 60 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.
5) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Hope this helps!
Let me know how that goes.
